Chills: Judge on The Voice is visibly moved by young man's talent
South African Vernon Barnard is 22 years old and has always dreamed of becoming a professional recording artist. Encouraged by his friends and family, he decided to become a contestant on the first season of The Voice: South Africa. And it turns out, he was on the right path. He wasn't far into his audition song, when he inspired quite a reaction from coach Bobby van Jaarsveld. Check it out:
Vernon was born with glaucoma and — despite 16 operations — lost his sight when he was only six years old. Although he didn't win The Voice, his version of One Direction's "Story of My Life" touched the whole country. His long-held dreams of being a professional singer are well on their way to being realized. Such a talent!
