Parrot reveals what it saw at the murder scene
In May 2015, there was a terrible murder case in Michigan, when Glenna Duram, 49, shot her 46-year-old husband Martin. Glenna attempted suicide immediately after killing him, but she survived the gunshot wound.
Glenna appealed to the judge for a lighter sentence, claiming that she was depressed and in a weak state of mind.
While the trial was on-going, Martin's ex-wife Christina Keller took custody of his parrot Bud. Though Bud is only a bird, he was the only witness to what happened to Martin.
Since arriving in Christina's home, Bud kept on repeating the same sentence impersonating Martin's voice. When Christina finally understood what he was saying, she immediately contacted Martin's family members.
His words were, "Don't shoot! Don't shoot!"
The parrot's utterances weren't used as evidence during the trial, as it wasn't clear if they were said by Martin or Glenna. But Martin's mother strongly believes that those were her beloved son's last words.
After a two-year trial, Glenna was sentenced to life imprisonment on August 28. The 49-year-old is currently planning to appeal.
This case shows that no matter how hard you try to hide it, the truth will eventually come out. Even if it's through a parrot's mouth!
