Video: British man's X Factor audition brings the audience to tears

Thirty-four-year-old Christopher Maloney of Liverpool had spent years dreaming about becoming a contestant on the British casting show "The X Factor." But he could never quite find the courage to perform in front of such a huge audience until his grandmother finally convinced him. He had been living with her since his grandfather's death and, with her encouragement, he finally took the big step and became an X Factor candidate. There was only one problem, however: his stage fright was so intense that he could barely hold the microphone in his shaking hands. But once Christopher began to sing, his worries disappeared and he blew the audience away with this incredible performance:

With his highly emotional rendition of "The Rose," the song that was played at his grandfather's funeral, Christopher brought the audience and the jury to tears. And, of course, his grandmother couldn't be more proud of her talented grandson! Simply wonderful.
