These wonderful photos of dogs and kids will touch your heart
Russian photographer Andy Seliverstoff loves taking pictures of two things: little kids and big dogs. It's amazing to see how he manages to make the special connection between humans and animals so visible and almost palpable. "The condition of endless joy and quiet satisfaction was the main idea behind this series," he explained. He's talking about his new book of photos entitled Little Kids and Their Big Dogs — 100 pages of his most beautiful photos.
When you see these big canine specimens beside these little kids, they appear even larger than life. But the beautiful thing is, they never appear dangerous. In fact, the effect is exactly the opposite. We can almost feel the bond between these dogs and their little human friends as they play together in the snow — loyal companions together through thick and thin.
Andy says he tried to capture the emotions he feels when observing the scene and convey them through his photographs. What he felt when he watched these huge dogs interacting with the kids was especially moving for him. "Among so many other things we see in our dogs, it's the human aspect that we perceive and what makes us feel so close to them. I tried to capture this aspect and portray it in my photographs." What do you think? Was he successful?
